How to Sell Bitcoin on CoinMate

To begin with, you must register an account with, and then confirm your email address. To enable full features, and expanded transaction limits, you can verify your identity or company.

Depositing Bitcoin onto your CoinMate account

While logged into your account, click on Account to see your Finances.

Click on the blue Deposit button in the Bitcoin section. This will open the Bitcoin Deposit Screen.

Click get a new address to have an address for your bitcoin deposits to be sent to. Send bitcoin to this wallet, subject to a minimum of 0.0002 bitcoin. You can copy and paste the address into a desktop wallet, or scan a QR code for convenience. Send the bitcoin from your wallet.

You can enter the transaction number from your Transaction history and enter this into a tool such as Blocktrail to see the status of your transaction on the network. A few moments after the second confirmation, your balance will be available to you in your account.

Step by Step

While logged into your account, you can trade from the front page, or the dedicated trading screen.

Enter an amount of bitcoin you would like to sell in the SELL BTC section. You can click the Bitcoin value above the input box to quickly enter the full amount.

The price defaults to the current BTC/EUR rate, and gives you a value in Euro you will receive. Press the orange SELL BTC button, and you will be prompted to confirm your order.

If you accept this, the order will complete. If the market value changes, you may be asked to reconfirm your order. For transactions using the market rate, a 0.35% "Taker" transaction fee will be applied. Transactions placed on the order book will be charged a 0.05% "Maker" rate, if they are matched at a later date.

Getting my Euro into my bank account

Please note: Transfers to third party bank accounts will be rejected

If you would like to trade bitcoin on the exchange, you can place orders on the market. However, if you would like to immediately withdraw your funds to your your bank account, you can visit your Finances page. You have a number of options including Euro, CZK and PLN bank transfers, and OKPay.

You will be prompted for your 2FA code via email or Google Authenticator, and once complete, your transfer request will be sent to our finance team. Payments are processed several times a day depending on demand. Banks aren't as fast as the blockchain, but the majority of our SEPA transfers take no more than 3 days. But we have customers across Europe who receive funds on same-day.
